Unless you need to hide it from family members, use your name. Be proud of what you wrote

Hi Kathie!! hahaha, I hide ALL my books from my family members!!! My mom has asked me to share my pen-name with her for 10 years but I always say “Hell No!” 😅😅😅

Use your own name. I won’t read it but there is no reason you should become somebody else just to publish it.

Perhaps try it out as a newsletter subscriber offering first and then ask for feedback after subscribers have had the opportunity to read it - personally I think publish under your name but some readers are not comfortable with dark romance regardless of the degree of darkness in it and with the state of America you might find negative consequences.

Hi Dianne,

Thank you so much for your comment! I’ve already written and published quite a few dark romances under my name but they’re all paranormal and this one is contemporary. But I will be offering it to you all for free for a limited time first :)

if the book is too different from what you normally publish, you should use a different name and this is coming from a person who hates pen names. If your books are not usually graphic, you will get hate mail. And BDSM is a real turn even from non graphic sex.

Hi Linda, thank you so much for your comment! The only difference is that the new book is contemporary and my other books are paranormal. Most of my books are extremely graphic and many contain BDSM already!

::frantically searches her kindle for one of your books::: uuummmm then don't bother to use a different name. Just be specific it is not a paranormal. LOL
